Sachin Sharma is a practising Vedic astrologer and numerologist and the founder of AstroAsk.net. Over more than fifteen years he has read thousands of charts and taught students at every level, and he writes to make Jyotish rigorous, honest and genuinely usable — rooted in the classics (BPHS, Phaladeepika, Saravali, Jaimini) yet free of fear-selling and jargon. What I write on AstroAsk
Every reference article on this site is written and maintained by me — there is no content farm and no anonymous editorial team behind it. The library covers planets in the 12 houses, planetary conjunctions (including ascendant-specific readings), the 27 nakshatras, doshas and their remedies, monthly and yearly ascendant horoscopes, and two free courses: Vedic astrology (100 lessons) and numerology (40 lessons). I have also published full-length e-books on Vedic astrology, numerology and related subjects.
How this content is made (methodology)
Two rules govern everything published here. First, every chart value is computed, never guessed: planetary positions, ascendants, dashas, panchang timings and transit dates on AstroAsk come from a real astronomical ephemeris using the sidereal zodiac (Lahiri ayanamsa), and the calculation engines are validated against published reference charts before they go live. Second, interpretations are grounded in the classical literature — Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Phaladeepika, Saravali and Jataka Parijata — and where traditions differ, the article says so instead of pretending certainty.
Astrology articles here deliberately avoid fear-selling. Doshas and difficult placements are explained with their formation rules, cancellations and constructive remedies — never as a scare tactic to sell a consultation. Where a claim depends on the whole chart (as most do), the article says "results vary with dignity and the rest of the chart" because that is the honest position.
Each article shows the date it was last revised. Dates are only updated when the content actually changes.
